OUR STORY

I first moved to Poplar in Autumn 2018 and Jeff joined the household around a year later. As a first time dog owner, an immigrant and also someone relatively new to the local area I relied heavily on word of mouth from friends for all things dog related. It was only when lockdown hit in Spring 2020 that I realised I was often unnecessarily travelling across London for things like dog training, supplies and grooming.

The bright side of the pandemic for Jeff and I was that as life became hyper local and we all stayed home, we were able to learn more about our local area, explore the parks and walks more, as well as learn about all the amazing services right on our doorstep.

This inspired me to start The Poplar Pooch, so that I could create a destination for local dog owners to find out more about the amazing places to go, things to do and see in our own backyards.
